How can I compare themes across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube videos?

Compare themes in selected public posts by asking the same content question and reviewing each result.

Choose your sample

Ask the same question about each selected post

To compare themes across social videos, choose the public posts you want to study and ask Mamitsu the same question about each one. Mamitsu returns structured information from selected posts for your application to compare.

Choose a fixed coding framework or themes stated in each post’s own terms. If you need fixed categories, describe them in the question so the same rule applies to every post. To let themes emerge, ask for named topics without forcing a predefined list.

For example, ask: “What are the main topics in this post? List the claims the creator explicitly makes and any recommendations. Describe only what the post communicates, not audience reactions.” Use the same question for each selected video.

Compare observations

Use your sample to compare what creators say

Your application can group results by topic or by a coding framework you define, then review where posts share or differ in their stated claims and recommendations. Keep the original source alongside each result so a reviewer can return to it.

Results describe information extracted from each supplied post. They are not a representative sample of a platform, a measure of topic prevalence, or evidence of audience response. Choose comparable posts and review the source before drawing conclusions.
