How can I extract prices and discount codes from social videos?
Extract offer details a creator explicitly shows or states, and keep observations separate from offer verification.
Read the offer
Ask for the offer as the creator presents it
To extract a promotion from a public TikTok or Instagram video, ask Mamitsu for the price, discount wording, code, and conditions the creator explicitly shows or states. It returns those observations as structured JSON. A returned price or code does not confirm that the offer is current or redeemable.
Prices and codes may appear in the video or images, or be spoken aloud. Ask for details as they appear, and keep a stated price separate from any calculation or verification your application may do.
For example, ask: “What products and offers does this post explicitly show or mention? Give the price and discount wording as presented, include any code and stated conditions, and leave out details the post does not provide.”
Review the result
Keep observed details separate from what your app verifies
Treat a returned price or code as what the post presented. A code may have expired, apply only to certain buyers, or depend on a destination outside the post. Your application can check the offer separately before displaying it as available.
Your application chooses which posts to inspect. See Mamitsu’s TikTok example and Instagram example for real post-to-JSON results.
